We live in a society whereby girls think performing certain duties as a girlfriend will make their boyfriends marry them. Indirectly they are trying to tell the guyz that ” am a marriage material” so marry me. If a man will marry you, you don’t need to prove yourself to anyone, just be yourself and stop thinking you can keep a man by all these things. If you are in a relationship, don’t perform these duties, you are not yet a wife officially.
1. Getting Too Familiar With His Family.
Some ladies think that getting close to the family members of her boyfriend, will automatically make them accept her into the family. When you are introduced to his family, don’t make it a habit of visiting regularly and buying stuffs as gifts for them. You are not bearing their family name and anything can happen in that relationship.
2. Sleeping Over.
If you are not married to a man, don’t sleep over at his house. Most girls think doing that will qualify them as good wives to be. You are deceiving yourself. If he will not marry you, nothing will change if you sleep over. Do you know the number of girl he has slept with before you? Did he marry any of them? Ask yourself and answer yourself.
3. Having Sex With Him.
Don’t ever think that you can keep a man with sex. Do know how to give good sex than those professional prostitutes? Yet they are not married. This should tell you that sex can never keep a man. They will still sleep with you and not marry you.
4. Preparing His meal.
Cooking for a man is the duty of two people. If he is not married, is the duty of his mum, if he is married it is the duty of his wife. Here is the case you are not any of these two, so why have you made it your duty to do that? Just to prove to him that you are a good cook and he won’t regret it if he married you. There is nothing if once a while you cook for the both you to enjoy on it visit to his place, but don’t make it your responsibility.
5. Co – Habitation.
Living with a man you are not yet married to, is totally out of line. Why will you pack your things and move in with a man you are not married to? Have never heard of the saying that goes “why buy a cow when you can still have a milk for free? You have already made yourself available for him to use you perform all the duties as a wife while living with him so why will he even think of putting a ring on your finger?
6. Depending On Him For the Survival Of Yourself and Your Family.
Some girls think having a boyfriend will relief them of their responsibilities of taking care of themselves and their family. A boyfriend and a husband are two different people. Don’t choke your boyfriend with all your needs he is not your husband.
7. Getting Familiar With His Friends.
Do not get too familiar with his friends to avoid insecurity or doubts. Sometimes ladies feel the more they close to his friends, they will convince him to marry you,which is wrong. If you are not careful they can rather manipulate him not marry you. Be nice to them and respect them that is all.
8. Doing The Laundry.
So on Saturday, a lady will wash her clothes, clean her house and rush over to her boyfriend’s house and wash for him. Ebei! Madam you dey tire? You can do all these things and the man will still not marry you ooo. Please rest a little if he needs a laundry woman, let him hire one.
9. Displaying Affections Publicly.
Some of our ladies think that when they are seen everywhere with their boyfriends , kissing, hugging and cuddling in public, no girl will even look at the guy because they will know some is already occupying a space in his life. They also feel it gives them the assurance that he will definitely marry her. Remember, he is not married to you yet and so any lady can contest for a wife position in his life.
10. Taking Care Of Him When He Is Sick.
As a girlfriend you can show care by visiting him or calling to check how his recovering is going when he sick. It is absolutely wrong to go and stay with him in the name of taking care of him. You are not a doctor neither are you his mother or wife. Let his mother and family take care of him and just show care.
Ladies, please be sensible and wise. Many ladies have performed all these duties and they did not become wives, so you are not an exception. Wait and become his better half before doing all these duties. If he needs a wife let him marry one.
